“A true teacher would never tell you what to do. But he would give you the knowledge with which you could decide what would be best for you to do.” ― Christopher Pike, Sati

Lineage

Everything that I know about wood working has come from my fishing partner Mike Fixter.  Without his generosity of fast tracking me to the ins and outs of making a Striper Plug,  I wouldn’t be where I am at now.

Fisherman

I tell everyone that I am a fisherman first before I am a builder.   I apply my knowledge that I have gained over 30+ years and apply it to my plugs.  By having the right tool for the right condition and/or situation it will help you become a better angler.  Even having the right tools does not guarantee anything, you as a angler have to learn how to effectively use them.

Quality

My wood of choice is Alaskan Yellow Cedar.  All of my plugs are made with quality components, Stainless Steel wire, Spro swivels, HD Stainless Steel Split rings and VMC 4X hooks.  No small detail is missed when making a plug.  Everything is made in house down to melting my own lead or forming my own wire.  Each design is of my own.  I do not copy anyone’s design.  If I like someone’s work I buy and use it, no need to be another “me too”.  Each plug I offer is unique in its own way and was made out of need for myself.

advocate

I am a big advocate for having a good fishery for all.  Education is the key to teaching everyone good habits and techniques in fishing.  I am part of the Catch and Release Crew and always offering good information on how we can improve and influence others in a positive manner.  Not only is the catch important but the revival and release when you catch that Big Female Striper of a lifetime.

“His lures always have a slot in my surf bag.”
